Jurnal Sistem Informasi dan Teknik Informatika (JAFOTIK) uses an electronic journal management system to facilitate manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, and publication. All authors are required to submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal's official website.

1. Online Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform available on the official JAFOTIK website:

Manuscripts submitted by email or other channels may not be processed unless specifically authorized by the editorial team.

2. Submission Requirements

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that:

  1. The manuscript falls within the scope of JAFOTIK.

  2. The manuscript is original and is not under consideration for publication in another journal.

  3. The manuscript has been prepared according to the journal's author guidelines and manuscript template.

  4. All authors have approved the submitted version and agreed to the submission.

  5. The manuscript contains the required information, including the title, abstract, keywords, author affiliations, references, and other relevant sections.

  6. All required declarations, supporting documents, and supplementary files have been provided, where applicable.

Authors should ensure that all uploaded files are complete, readable, and prepared in the file formats specified by the journal.

3. Electronic Submission Procedure

Authors are expected to follow these steps when submitting a manuscript:

  1. Register for an account or log in to the JAFOTIK OJS platform.

  2. Select the manuscript submission option.

  3. Complete the submission form and provide the required manuscript metadata, including the title, abstract, keywords, and author details.

  4. Upload the manuscript file and any required supplementary documents.

  5. Complete the submission checklist and confirm compliance with the journal's policies.

  6. Review the submitted information and finalize the submission through the OJS system.

Authors should retain their submission confirmation and monitor the submission status through their OJS accounts.

4. Manuscript Tracking and Communication

The corresponding author is responsible for monitoring the manuscript's progress through the electronic submission system and responding to editorial communications.

All revisions requested by the editor or reviewers must be submitted through the designated OJS workflow, unless the editorial team provides alternative instructions. Authors should ensure that revised manuscripts and supporting documents are uploaded correctly and within the specified deadlines.

5. File Preparation and Version Control

Authors must submit manuscript files in the formats accepted by JAFOTIK and ensure that the files can be opened and reviewed without technical difficulties.

When submitting a revised manuscript, authors should upload the latest version and provide a response to reviewers' comments when requested. Previous versions should not be resubmitted as the final revision unless specifically instructed by the editorial team.

For triple-blind peer review, authors should remove identifying information from the manuscript file where required by the journal's review procedures.

6. Data Security and Confidentiality

JAFOTIK is committed to handling submitted manuscripts and associated files responsibly throughout the editorial process. Access to submitted materials is restricted to authorized individuals involved in editorial management, peer review, and publication, as appropriate.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted files do not contain confidential information, personal data, or third-party materials that have been included without appropriate authorization.
