Publication Schedule

The Journal of Computer Science Application and Engineering (JOSAPEN) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Lentera Ilmu Publisher, Indonesia. The journal publishes two issues per year, in January and July.

Publication Frequency

JOSAPEN follows a biannual publication schedule, with two regular issues annually:

  • Issue 2: July

Each issue features scholarly articles that contribute to the advancement of computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Submission Schedule

JOSAPEN accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year. Authors are welcome to submit their manuscripts at any time through the journal's online submission system.

Manuscripts received by the journal will undergo an initial editorial assessment to evaluate their relevance to the journal's aims and scope, compliance with author guidelines, originality, and suitability for peer review. Submissions that meet the initial requirements may proceed to the peer-review process.

The assignment of a manuscript to a particular issue depends on the completion of the review process, the authors' timely revisions, the final editorial decision, and the journal's production schedule. Submission before a particular month does not guarantee publication in the immediately following issue.

Peer Review and Publication Process

All submitted manuscripts are processed according to the journal's editorial and publication policies. The publication process generally includes the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Assessment: The editorial team evaluates the manuscript's scope, completeness, originality, and compliance with submission requirements.

  2. Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are evaluated by qualified reviewers to assess their scientific quality, validity, originality, and contribution.

  3. Revision: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' and editors' comments.

  4. Final Editorial Decision: The editor determines whether the revised manuscript is accepted or rejected based on the evaluation results.

  5. Production and Publication: Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, formatting, and final preparation for publication in the scheduled issue.

The duration of each stage may vary depending on reviewer availability, the complexity of the manuscript, the extent of revisions required, and the authors' response time.

Online Publication

JOSAPEN publishes its issues electronically through its official journal website. Once an issue is finalized and released, its articles become available to readers in accordance with the journal's open-access policy.

The journal aims to maintain a consistent publication schedule while ensuring that every published article meets its standards for scholarly quality, research integrity, and publication ethics.
